In order to reach all parts of the community that housing providers serve, it’s essential to move beyond traditional approaches to engagement. 

This session will explore innovative and creative methods of engagement. For example, how can we draw inspiration from the arts and cultural sector, using mediums such as music, painting or participatory theatre, to enable tenants to explore their concerns and express their views? Is there a place for experimental collaborative approaches such as "Serious Games" that can provide a playful way to break down hierarchies while providing focus and structure to explore difficult issues? What is the role of technology to engage tenants in new and innovative ways?

This session will draw inspiration from sectors as diverse as criminal justice, education, health and social care through to Build to Rent. What can we learn from landlords who have trialled new and different methods for engaging with tenants and how is it impacting communication and relationships?
